It is great new for photography in Barcelona. As crisis deepens in the written publications with some recent news, especially worrisome by its symbolism and that I will not coment in this blog, new windows of hope start opening. Fernando Peracho, former Hartmann Gallery’s director, a gallery that stood as a reference with iconic photographic expositions, open this new gallery, devoted solely to photography, together with his partner Brauli Teixidó. It is again a remarkable initiative of individuals like Pepe Baeza, the girls of the Centre de Fotografia Documental de Barcelona with Laura Terré in front, Silvia Omedes and her Photographic Social Vision and now Fernando and Brauli. The Vàlid Photo Gallery, a 400 square meters local sited in Buenaventura Muñoz st. 6, near the Arc de Triomf, opens this Monday, November 30 at 19h, with an exhibition of Alvaro Sanchez-Montañes’s work, the last Epson prize .
